lunch in bellagio at salice blu

Posted by on 8 Jul 2013

This is a great lunch time excursion, taking the morning ferry to Bellagio and then around 12.30 meeting Luigi in front of the post office and riding with him to his lovely restaurant on the hillside.  You are in for a culinary delight!  Here is a bit of information from his  website:

The Salice Blu restaurant was born in  1973.

Flora and Mino Gandola opened for the first time this structure self-builded.
In recent years, the kitchen is followed by his son Luigi with the help of his staff composed of skilled young chefs, while the hall and bookings are followed by mom Flora and aunt Rosaria.

During the winter in 2005, the restaurant Salice Blu was completely renovated. Rooms have been given by particular attention during the work, and now inside the restaurant the atmosphere is elegant, warm and welcoming.

The first glance to those who cross the entrance door are the numerous medals, awards and trophies won by Chef Luigi in international culinary competitions he participated.

The restaurant offers a large choice of dishes without gluten: that’s why it is recognized and appreciated by the community of celiac.

Our restaurant is in Bellagio, a charming touristic site on the Como Lake.

Finding us is very simple because the restaurant is located in San Vito, Bellagina site at the entrance of the same Bellagio coming from Lecco, on the main drag, the Larian highway, that in our area takes its name of “Via per Lecco”.

From the center of Bellagio you get there on foot, however, we could offer you a free shuttle service on request, to or from the center of Bellagio.
