The Greenway is a leisurely and pleasant hike on the west side of Lake Como. It passes through ancient villages, stunning villas with gorgeous gardens, Romanesque and Baroque churches. There are shops, La Fabrica di Gelato, Villa Balbinello, Grand Hotel Tremezzo and many other of my favorite spots especially the life-changing lemon ravioli at La Tirlandana! to enjoy along the way.
How to get there:
The best way is to take the Ferry in the morning and go to the furthest point and work your way back to the central lake where ferries run late into the evening.
My suggestion is to go to Isola Comacina first. You can grab a coffee, explore the island’s Roman ruins, take a quick shuttle boat to Sala Comacina and enjoy the incredible Lemon ravioli at La Tirlandana.
